Christmas digital projects

I've started working on the calendars for my family.  This is a tradition I started about 5 years ago when I made 6 photo calendars by hand.  Let me just say I don't recommend going this route!  The following year I made one of the Creative Memories Digital Calendars.  (You can check out the calendar I made for 2010 here.)  I used the predesigned templates (some of which are totally free) to design the calendars.  What a simple, and oh so loved gift!  My sister asks each year if it will be here by Christmas now.  What I like about these calendars is that they are made with a very heavy paper, the same matte photo paper used in making their matte digital pages, and at the end of the year, the calendar portion detaches and you can put both pieces into a year in review album.  So fun!

The other gift I plan to work on this year is for Garrett's teacher.  She has been a teacher for 38 years and is thinking of retiring after this year.  I found this project on Creative Memories digital 411 blog that I'm thinking  of making for her.  Leave a comment and tell me what you think:  http://projectcenter.creativememories.com/digital/2012/11/best-teacher-ever-digital-coffee-mug.html
