O’Dell’s love for memory-keeping makes her a perfect partner for Creative Memories, a company that started the scrapbooking phenomenon nearly 25 years ago.
“I know first-hand how important scrapbook albums are to kids,” O’Dell said, sharing her memories of the albums her mother made for her. “When I look at those albums, I feel like I was the most loved child in the world. I want my children to have that same feeling, that same sense of family connection,”
O’Dell said her friends are surprised when they learn that she creates albums. “They think it’s too complicated, time consuming and ‘old school’ but it doesn’t have to be,” she said. “I saw an opportunity to partner with Creative Memories to simplify the process and add my own sense of style.”
“’I’m really quick,” O’Dell said. “I wanted to design scrapbooking products that allowed me to create ten pages in ten minutes.”
The Nancy O’Dell Collection by Creative Memories will feature a sophisticated design palette and motifs that reflect O’Dell’s own esthetic point of view and fashion sense. The first introduction in the collection is an all-in-one scrapbooking bundle that offers everything busy moms need to create an album easily and quickly. The bundle includes an album, no-fail page layouts, decorative papers and embellishments, clever tools, an easy-to-follow 50-page idea book and even a designer-inspired tote to keep everything organized on the go. A downloadable version of the designs will also be available to create digital photo books.
